Amos moved from southern Michigan to Los Angeles in 2003 as the bass player with the Hip-Hop/Rock band Creature Beach. The band fell apart shortly after and reformed as Detroit Mutant Radio with Amos switching to the drum chair. Amos began to study with Zoro the Drummer around this time and the band went on to play many shows including opening for Black Sheep and Digital Underground as well as recording the album Cash n Burn produced by Matt Forger. Amos eventually decided to leave the band for the opportunity to study in more diverse musical settings. Amos began playing in the Pasadena City College Latin Jazz Band and Community Concert Band as well as the smooth  Jazz/R&B band SuperGroove and Hard Rock band The Royal Houser. Realizing the desire to take his drumming a step further, Amos began studying with renowned drum teacher Ivo Nakov. Around this time Amos began playing more frequently in a traditional Jazz setting with weekly gigs at the Culver Hotel and Casa Del Mar as well as doing many top 40 party and wedding  gigs along the way.  After learning how to practice more effectively with Ivo, Amos decided to  further improve his technique under the guidance of drumming guru Bruce Becker. These experiences, along with dedication and some luck allow Amos to continue enjoying the art of music and the craft of drumming while hopefully improving along the way. At present, you can find Amos performing with Alanna and These Fine Gentleman, The Todd Washington Trio, Blade of Grass and others.
